February 6th 2014 Update

Assignment 1 is almost complete, but I got stuck on last test. I believe that there is a problem with inital cursor position.  Gotta see my professor about that problem today at 13:30. He has student help hours at that time today. Hopefully that issue will be resolved today. Other than that, my assignment works perfectly.

We started studying templates and it looks like it will be very useful in the future. It is a little bit confusing at the beginning, but with time and practice I will get more comfortable with templates.

Also our first workshop is due tomorrow. First workshop is all about speed differences between macro functions and normal functions. Yesterday I learned that it is possible to have multi-line macro functions, but to do that, we have to use backslash “\”.

That is all for now.

Thank you for reading!

January 29th, 2014 update.

I am still working on Assignment 1. It is hard assignment, but the knowledge received from doing this assignment is priceless. I finished display function, and now i am working on edit function.

We covered Namespaces in details, also talked about Primitive Types and Enumeration.

I am looking forward to learn more stuff.

That’s it for now.

OOP-344 Introduction!

I am not a big fan of blogs, or any other social media, so it might take a while for me to get use to this.

I am studying Computer Science in Seneca College, it is my 3rd semester. One of the most important courses of this semester is OOP-344, which all about Object Oriented Programming using C++. I personally love C and C++, so this course is very interesting for me.

So far we have covered some material from last semester, concepts and some commands for git, and started to study what happens during the pre-processing stage. Today, we covered “Macros”, which can be very useful in come cases.

Assignment 1 is now available. It is a very interesting assignment, but at the same time I know that it will be a very challenging assignment. I am looking forward for this challenge.

That’s it for now.

Thank you for reading!
